Itinerary of the tour

Day 1 : Casablanca Arrival, transfer to Rabat

Meet your guide at Casablanca Airport then drive to Rabat, a political capital of Morocco. Meals: D

Day 2 : Sightseeing of Rabat, Drive to Chefchaouen/home hosted meal.

After breakfast, you take the guided tour of Rabat. The city is the country's political capital and whose historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2012. Enjoy brief panoramic tour of the city. Will see the Royal Palace (from outside) and the Kasbah of the Oudaya, the Mausoleum of Mohammed the fifth and an unfinished Mosque dated back to 12thC known as Hassan Tower. After looking around, drive towards the city of Chefchaouen known for its distinctive blue-washed buildings. Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 as a small kasbah (fortress) by Moulay Ali Ibnou Rachid. Many Moriscos and Jews settled here after the Spanish inquisition. So, you might feel like you're in the hills of Spain. After making it to the town in the afternoon, you'll check into our Riad. Then, take a walk through the narrow streets of the surrounding neighborhood. Tonight, you will be invited by the local a family for a home hosted meal. You will enjoy the famous dish of the north and interact with the family too. Meals: B, D

Day 3 : Chefchaouen – Fez/home hosted meal.

This morning is left free to explore the sights, sounds, and smells of the medina, the shops in the square selling woven goods and small sweets, and, most importantly, enjoy a taste of the town’s famous goat’s cheese. Or take hike to enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the Spanish mosque. In the afternoon travel to Fes, the most medieval city in the Arab world. Fes is the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco; vibrant, noisy, and fascinating. Tonight, you will be invited by a local family in Fes to enjoy the specialty of the city: Fes salad and chicken pie. Meals: B, D

Day 4 : Fez city tour / food tasting trail/interact with locals

Take a guided tour of Fes. you will start first by testing some local food including broad beans soup (Bisara), different types of bread served for breakfast, pastries, almonds, dates… then you drive to see the main entrance of the huge Royal palace, then take a short walk through the Jews quarter known as Mellah to admire its beautiful architecture. After that, drive to enjoy one of the most panoramic view overlooking the 9th century Medina of Fes. You might visit a ceramic factory where you can learn traditional handmade pottery being made. Afterwards, take a walking tour inside the Medina which is alive with craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. Look out for the Medersa Bou Inania, one of the city's most beautiful buildings. It has recently been restored and is now open to tourists. After looking around, you return back to the hotel and relaxing a bit. Meals: B, L

Day 5 : Fez - Midelt – Erfoud/ visit a nomad family/ home hosted meal.

After breakfast you make your departure to Erfoud. In the first hour crossing the soft mountains of the Middle Atlas to reach the city of Midelt. Today you will be welcomed by a Berber family to share your lunch. In the afternoon, continue your journey through Tizi N’talghmt camel pass and continuing via the gorge of Ziz to Errachidia. Afterwards, you drive south to get to one of the biggest palm groves in Morocco known as Tafilalt oasis. Stop to enjoy a great view over this beautiful oasis. you will finally descend into Erfoud, a small trading village that is the gateway to the vast Sahara Desert. Meals: B, L, D

Day 6 : Merzouga Area: Explorative journey: Visit the nomads and Gnaoua village.

After breakfast, set off in 4x4 vehicles to visit a local nomad family who lives in this part of Morocco. You will interact with the family members and learn the desert life from them too. After that, you'll head to Khamlia, a remote desert village. This region is known for the ritual songs of its Gnawa musicians, and you'll get the chance to hear their melodic chants during a live performance. Will learn more about everyday life in the desert as you visit nomadic families. After lunch, you will ride camel for a new adventure to reach the desert camp in the dunes of Erg chebbi. You will stop for a sunset over the Merzouga dune. Then continue to the camp where the tents are located. You will have dinner at the camp and enjoy a music played by our camp team. Meals: B, L, D

Day 7 : Merzouga - Gorges of Todra - Route of the Kasbahs - Kella M'Gouna – Skoura / home hosted meal.

Leave the dunes behind and head towards the beautiful gorge of Toudra. You stop to see the beautiful gorge, a massive trench that rises over 150 meters to form one of the most dramatic and spectacular natural sights in Morocco. You will take a walk through this beautiful gorge. In the afternoon, you continue your exploring day towards the valley of Roses, and finally you get to your destination in the oasis of Skoura. Tonight, you will be invited by a local family for a home hosted meal. Meals: B, D

Day 8 : Skoura - Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech/ food tasting trail.

You leave Skoura to Ouarzazat known as the Hollywood of Morocco, stop to visit the cinema museum before you continue to one of the highlights of the trip, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which has been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987. It is the most important in southern Morocco. In addition, many films have been filmed there including: Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. After lunch, you will drive for four hours through the winding roads of the Atlas, bound for Marrakech, an ancient, exotic city wrapped in European modernity. There’s no rush as the scenery through the High Atlas Mountain passes is magnificent, and there will surely be calls for several photo stops along the way. On arrival in Marrakech you will check in to your hotel. This evening, you head for a food testing. You will test some Moroccan donuts with some tea, some nuts, olives, roasted lamp, you end your testing food at the main and great square of Jemaa el Fna one of the largest public spaces in the world and unique to Marrakech. Meals: B, D

Day 9 : Marrakech guided city tour/ meeting locals

After breakfast, you start your tour with a local guide by the ramparts of Marrakech in which there are many interesting historical sites in the medina. Koutoubia mosque 12th century that represents the glory and depth history of the city. You will discover the nomadic heritage by visiting Tiskiwin Museum, the beautiful Bahia palace 19th century and the famous souks of Marrakech. You will be amazed of how many different stalls, colors, smells and goods in the souks. It is a great place for shopping some gifts for yourselves and for your beloved ones. After lunch you take you to the lovely garden that you will admire, the famous Majorelle gardens and the Berber Museum. It is nice to have a cup of mint-tea in one of the terraces in order to end up your journey in the red city, offering a great view over the magical square Jamae Elfana that you always will remember!!! We meet tonight for farewell dinner in a typical Moroccan Restaurants. Meals: B, D

Day 10 : Marrakech airport

Depends on your flight’s time, you will be transferred to Casablanca or Marrakech airport Meals: B
