This trip covers different activities for the children. you will enjoy the mule ride, camel ride and donkey ride at the beautiful oasis of Tiout. In addition to that, you will enjoy the cooking class at sea side of Essaouirra and learn how the Moroccan tea is made.
Welcome to Marrakech, Marrakech is a feast for the senses. Be enticed by the alluring scents and brilliant colors of the spice market, the sounds of the musicians, delectable foods, acrobats and perfumed gardens.
After breakfast, you began your journey. You go along mountain roads and over Morocco’s highest pass known as Tizi n’Tichka(2260m) to Anmiter on the edge of High Atlas Mountains approximately 4 hours. On your arrival you will meet the muleteers and start your ride from this village. You will ride along the beautiful valley, enjoying the scenery and the ride. You get finally to your guest house located at the Berber village of Tigza. In the afternoon, you might enjoy a mint tea with the Berber family and learn how to make a Moroccan tea. Meals: B, L, D
After breakfast, you take a walkthrough the valley. Hiking around the cultivated fields, you learn from the locals as you interact with them and you will get to know about the irrigation system used in this remote villages. you reach the village of Anmiter where you meet your driver to continue your journey to Ait Benhaddou. This village has been chosen by UNISCO as the world heritage site since 1987 with its fortified village being a fine example of clay architecture. It was once an important stop caravans passing through as they carried salt across the Sahara, returning with gold, ivory and slaves. In addition, many films have been shot in this village including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Enjoy a walk through the streets of old town, making your way to the top of the hill, from where you can enjoy the views across the surrounding areas. After lunch, you continue to Ouarzazate where you stop to visit one of the movie studios. you will learn about the movies and discover the area. After looking around you continue to Agdez (1h20mn). This morning, you leave and driving south, you follow the course of the Draa River changing the scenery as you travel towards Zagora. You will enjoy a hike through the beautiful oasis of Zagora and learn about the irrigation system in this oasis as you interact with the local farmers. After that, you continue to Tamgroute where you stop to visit an old library then take a walk through an old village before you end up at a pottery cooperative, here you learn more about how the pottery is made. Then, you continue to Ouled Driss where you start your camel ride to the Sahara camp. Tonight, you will enjoy some local music with the camp team and learn about the desert life. Meals: B, L, D
This morning, you take again a camel ride before you rejoin your minivan and drive towards the town of Ouled Brhil. The journey should take around seven hours in total, including several stops. This drive goes through desert scenery and along a route that's a reserve for the indigenous Argan trees. Argan oil is highly prized for its culinary, cosmetic and medicinal uses and is only produced in Morocco, and is certainly a trademark of Morocco around the world. If you're lucky, the group might come across the famous image of goats climbing these trees in search of nuts. Please note that this is a long travel day, and you won't arrive at tonight's accommodation until late afternoon/early evening. Meals: B,D
Today, you leave late and head towards the beautiful oasis of Tiout. You will visit a local family and having tea with them. Then, you take a donkey ride along the oasis of Tiout. The children admire always a ride and having fun. You can name your donkeys as we do not do that in Morocco. After this great experience you come back and enjoy included lunch with the family, interact with them and playing with their children. It is a day in life for the children where they get to know more about Moroccan children and their way of life.
After lunch you come back to the same hotel for relaxing, enjoying the pool or walking around. Meals: B, L
Today leave the valleys of the High Atlas Mountains behind and head west to the coastal town of Essaouira (approximately 5 hours). On the way you stop to see one of the women cooperatives of Argan Oil based in this region. You learn how we extract the Argan oil and everyone could participate in this process. The children participate and engage in this process. After that you continue to sea side of Essaouirra. The name Essaouira means image, which is appropriate since it's such a picturesque town. Its charm is undeniable; within the stone ramparts you'll find whitewashed houses with bright blue shutters, art galleries and wood workshops. It's still a busy fishing port and its pretty harbor is filled with tiny colorful boats which go out early every morning for the day's catch. As you’ll arrive in the early evening, there won’t be much time to look around today. In the evening perhaps have some dinner with the group, as the local seafood is as fresh as it gets. Meals: B
Today, you have the whole day at Essaouirra. We do suggest today to join us for a cooking demonstration of Morocco’s most famous cuisine. You will participate together and make your own dish. Afternoon is left free to explore the beautiful town of Essaouirra. Meals: B, L
Today, you leave the seaside and heading back to Marrakech. In the afternoon, you will take a tour to see the sightseeing of the red city of Marrakech. You explore first the medina of Marrakech as you visit the beautiful palace known as Bahia Palace and you will admire the Moroccan architecture. Will be accompanied by the local guide who knows the secrets of Marrakech. After that you will take a horse carriage around the town of Marrakech. You will go further to see the new town of Marrakesh known as Gueliz. Meals: B
