Introduction

During 4 days you will explore the main oldest imperial cities of Morocco, Fes and Marrakech, You will travel from Fes through the beautiful landscapes of the middle and high atlas mountains to reach Merzouga where you will ride camel and experience an overnight in the desert camp after assisting to a beautiful sunset over the sand dunes; as well as the great world heritage Kasbahs in Ouarzazate and the gorgeous great canyons of Todra and Dades gorges.

Itinerary of the tour

Day 1 : Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga

At 8 in the morning you will pick you up at your hotel and head for Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. This mountain range extends 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northwest of Morocco.

On the way you will pass through towns like Ifrane, known as the "Moroccan Switzerland" for the architecture of its houses and for being one of the most exclusive ski destinations in the country, and Azrou, one of the most famous Berber cities of Morocco. You will cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges and you will pass through villages such as Midelt or Erfoud. From Erfoud you will take a desert road until you reach Merzouga. Tonight, you will spend it in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 2 : Discover the desert of Merzouga/ visit the nomad family and Gnawa village

The second day you will dedicate to enjoy the most spectacular part of the Eastern Sahara. You will enter the desert in the 4X4, visit nomadic villages, see oasis and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Following the route, you will visit the famous village of Khamlia where the gnawa are, descendants of the slaves arrived from Africa, and you will enjoy their amazing folk music. You will visit also a nomadic family and having tea with it. You will learn about a desert life and interact more with the family. At dusk you will return to the hotel ad take a camel ride to the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where you have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Gorges of Todra/ home hosted meal - Ouarzazate

If there is something that nobody wants to miss, it is the dawn in the desert. After enjoying this moment, you will take the camels to the hotel where you can have a shower and have breakfast. On the way back to Ouarzazate, will pass through Rissani and Tafilalet, the place of origin of the Alaoui dynasty and the ancient capital of the Alaouit sultans. Then you will go to the Gorges of Todrra for a walk. Then you will be invited by a local family for a home hosted lunch. After, you continue along the route of the "Thousand Kasbahs», drive through the amazing Valley of Roses, famous for the cultivation of roses, and will arrive at the palm grove of Skoura. You end the day in Ouarzazate. Meals: B, L, D

Day 4 : Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast you will leave Ouarzazate behind to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the best-known fortified cities in the world, famous for having appeared in films like Gladiator. You will enter the ruins of the kasbah to know its secrets. Continuing along a path you cross a valley of almond trees and the Berber villages of Amerzgane, Agouim and Ighrem. You cross the Atlas through the incredible Tizi n'Tichka port, 2,260 meters high and stop for lunch in Tadart, another Berber village. After lunch will take the road to Marrakech, where you will arrive at approximately 5:00 p.m. Meals: B, L
