Your day will be entirely dedicated to the "Pearl of the South". Among the monuments witnessing its great history, you will especially visit the Koutoubia mosque, whose majestic silhouette dominates the red houses and the palaces of earth color, the Bahia Palace, seat of the Grand Vizier Ba Hmad (end of the 19th C), after your mint tea stop, you will be taken to the tanneries to learn about how the leather is tanned. You will find the famous Souk in the old Medina, with the blacksmiths, the dye-works, the sellers of spices with good fragrances, cabinet makers, tailors, etc. Afternoon left for pottery lessons in the potters’ village outside of the city. After breakfast, you Leave Marrakech towards Ourika valley, one the way you stop to visit the Aromatic garden, and have tea with Safran. After learning about the fauna and flora of the mountains you will be taken to Visit a local Berber home where you will learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan mint tea as well as a tagine, a tasty stew — then you enjoy it for your early dinner. Today, your guide will take you on a gentle discovery walk through the Berber villages of Imlil valley, with an optional mule ride. During your trek, you’ll learn and discover the traditions and lifestyle of the indigenous people of the mountains. Your lunch will be served in a local family house with a stunning view to snowcapped peaks of the high Atlas Mountains. After lunch, you make your way back to your guest house. Included meals: B, D
You leave the mountains behind and drive to Essaouira with a stop at the museum of the National Park of Toubkal, to see the interactive exhibits, you’ll learn about the geography of the region as well as Berber, or Amazigh, culture. After a few hours driving along the Argan fields, you will be welcomed by the breeze of the coast. Your afternoon is left to enjoy a sightseeing tour with the local guide of Essaouira. Today is full of activities, you will take a half day trip to the beach of Sidi Kaouki where you meet your camels to take you on an hour ride along the breezy coast. Later on, you will visit the women cooperative of Argan and enjoy min tea with Argan oil and Amlou (Moroccan Nutella). Your afternoon will be exciting when you meet our famous painter Mus, with whom you will learn about the wonderful painting work he does. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. This morning you leave the coast and return to Marrakech. It's a few hours' drive and after you have checked in to the hotel you will be taken to visit Majorelle Garden the most visited site in Marrakech. It is nicely designed and maintained gardens, similar to those of Generalife in Granada, Spain. It’s a good place to recoup from the intensity of the market atmosphere. Your last night in Marrakech will be crowned with a farewell dinner with your new friends and guide, sharing your favorite moments from the incredible time you just had!. Included meals: B, D
